This site required removal of old foundations and failed retaining walls. Requiring excavation, temporary driven retaining walls to support neighbouring properties were installed during the construction of the 80 metre engineered retaining walls. For the house site, ground improvement was necessary by way of gravel raft foundation. From 600mm to 2000mm deep in places.
